“We Adore Thee” – but do we?

I started thinking about how adoration, at its core, pre-supposes all of my affection. All of my attention. All of my passion. I love this definition. Adoration: “to be fully fixed upon without distraction”. It’s impossible to adore someone or something authentically if we can easily be distracted from it.

On Becoming (an imposter’s leadership journey)
A while back, my husband Bill and I got bumped up to first class seats on an airplane. We couldn’t help wondering if all the other first class riders realized that we weren’t first class ‘regulars.’ In short, we were merely imposters just trying to blend in and not draw attention to the fact that we didn’t really belong there.

Serving With A Team of Artists

For more than 6 years, I have served as a worship leader, choir director and song writer on the worship arts staff at Grace Community Church in north suburban Indianapolis (Noblesville/Carmel), IN.  This is a smidgen of what I’ve learned – and am still learning every day – about co-laboring with a team of artists.
