This is a SUPERB SUPERB song. I would be definetely worshiping with this guy on the hallways. THis church needs to know what praise is all about. OTher than the fact that this guy might need to speak like a man. HE has talent indeed. I sing along with you man. I offer my life to you my Lord surrender...... AS MY KIDS SAY WONDERFUL BEAUTIFUL SON. INDEED.....

Pretty cool song. Surrender-ship is huge for we must submit to Him to receive all of Him. - InHymn (below) You said "our focus should be on the more on the one we are surrendering our lives to" - while that is true, this song is a surrender-ship song played for a purpose and for a specific time when God is drawing us to consecrate our lives. Also, it is not the words only but the attitude of your heart. Lastly, you said "our righteousness is nothing more than filthy rags".... it seems to me that you are forgetting who you are in Christ. In Christ He has made us righteous, He has made us worthy. So don't look to yourself but rather look to the One who is inside you, the real you and you will see that in Christ you look so much better than outside of Him. NEVER look at yourself outside of Christ you will always "feel" inferior. 2 Cor 5:17 Koa - great song.... we must be in position to receive God's best and surrendering our lives puts us there.

Great song. Reminds me of the Vineyard Music that was so popular several years ago.You don't hear songs like this any more from them. Just an all around great congregtional worship song. elman a.

Also, a quick tip: this song goes great after HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD in a worship set. That's how we did it in the video you're seeing (but you don't get to see that part =).

Hi everybody, Thanks for your comments. I've posted a new chord sheet for free download on my website this morning. Just follow the "contact" link above to get it! Worshipper - I'm so honored that you'd try it with your congregation. In Hymn - Check out my song "There is None Deeper", it's the first one that plays on my website. It might connect better with you and your congregation as it's all focused on Him, His great love, His redemption of humanity. It's kindof hymn-like in it's content despite being a happy-clappy praise song. Blessings to you! stanman - good stuff! Blessings to you. Praise God for all types of songs that connect people with God!

Well done, Koa Siu. I think this song could be a meaningful part of a worship music set if "used appropriately". If people are engaged with singing this to the Lord, then the multiple repeats are also meaningful. If not, it would be monotonous. It's simple, singable, and (unlike many news songs) can be easily taught and sung. Kudos. Re: what InHymn writes, it's true that Matt Redman and others are encouraging the Christian songwriting community to write Christ-centered songs, but part of being Christ-centered is OUR RESPONSE to who He is. Many, many Psalms say "I will sing...", "I will walk...", "I will set my eyes...". I think it's all good as long as we don't get too lopsided in our worship sets. :-)

I appreciate being able to watch this song, but it seems that the focus is more about me, and not about Him. Repeating the same words that don't seem to contain much content over and over doesn't draw me to God. It seems that the focus should be more on the One to whom we are surrendering our lives, since our righteousness is nothing more than "filthy rags".
