Few artists have captured the heart and imagination of contemporary gospel music audiences with the style and grace of New York-based, Integrity Music recording artist, Alvin Slaughter. A long-time favorite with New York audiences, Alvin's ministry has expanded to an international level, winning new audiences with an exciting, powerful style that has become uniquely his own.

Alvin has performed at Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall, and has appeared in concert with many of today's top recording artists. Alvin was also nominated for a Stellar Award, Gospel Music's equivalent to the Grammys, in the category of "Best Solo Performance by a Male (Contemporary)", as well as Dove award nominations for "Contemporary Black Gospel Album of the Year", "Contemporary Black Gospel Song of the Year", and "Praise and Worship Album of the Year". However, there is more to his success than an exciting vocal delivery and stage presence. The desire to uplift and encourage is clearly reflected in Alvin's music, and is evident in every area of his family, ministry and staff. 

Dedicating his life to sharing the good news of Christ through contemporary Christian music, Alvin has taken his talent to prisons, colleges and auditoriums throughout the country. His rapidly growing career has taken him outside the United States into Israel, Africa, Singapore, Holland, England, Japan, The Bahamas, Jamaica and The Philippines. He has performed in churches and concert halls before capacity crowds. 

A featured vocalist on six of the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir albums, Alvin has released three solo projects since 1990, including the best-seller "Revive Us Again" under the Integrity Hosanna! Music label. His most recent Hosanna! project "God Can", released in May, 1996, is a live audio and video concert, featuring a 350-voice interdenominational choir. Every song is infused with life and hope as Alvin confidently testifies to the wonders of God's redemption. "My greatest desire through my music is to build faith and bridge the gap between God and His people", he says. "There was a time in my life when I didn't think God could use me. I didn't think He could restore my broken marriage. I didn't think He could turn around my failures. Jesus is 'able to do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think'". 

With a growing international audience, and quick willingness to be used in ministry, Alvin continues to thrill audiences with an exciting, contemporary gospel style that is rapidly making him one of Gospel Music's best loved artists.
