He is a brilliant songwriter and is a leading example to our young generation. He writes, performs and sings with passion in Afrikaans and is called South Africa’s own Matt Redman. Retief is 26 years old and studies theology at the University of Potchefstroom. Retief song, “LEEU VAN JUDA”, is sung from Cape Town thru to Afrikaans churches in London! His love for Jesus, the youth and his church makes him a wonderful ambassador for Afrikaans worship music and a very good friend of CCL Africa.
