Dave Moody of the Seattle area is a church music director. He's also a talented and prolific songwriter. He's known for songs like "All Hail King Jesus", "The Army of the Lord", and "Praise the Lord". Royalties from the Church Copyright Licence have helped Dave devote full-time to his church music ministry.
The same stories could be told for hundreds of Christian songwriters. Some are like composer Tim Smith of Portland, Oregon - a father of four - who receives just enough extra in songwriting royalties to allow him to devote full-time to his position as a Christian music school teacher.
