Covers more than 150,000 songs from more than 2,500 publishers and songwriters.

Grants permission for the following copying activities:

1. To print songs in bulletins, programs and songsheets.
2. To print songs in bound or unbound songbooks.
3. To make overhead transparencies or slides.
4. To utilize electronic storage and retrieval methods for the visual projections of songs.
5. To print customized vocal and/or instrumental arrangements of the songs, where no published version is available.
6. To record songs in church worship services by either audio or audiovisual means, provided only "live" music (instrumental and vocal) is recorded. Accompaniment tracks cannot be reproduced.

What the License does not provide permission to do:

1. To photocopy or duplicate any choral sheet music (octavos), cantatas, musicals, handbell music, keyboard arrangements, vocal solos or instrumental works.
2. To translate songs from English into another language. This can only be done with the approval of the respective publisher.
3. To rent, sell or lend copies made under the License to groups outside the church or to other churches. (It is OK to distribute tapes to shut-ins, missionaries or others outside the church.)
4. To assign or transfer the License to another church or group without CCLI's approval.
